Daryl Davies
Managing Director / Senior Accountant & Tax Advisor
With over 32 years of invaluable experience, Daryl’s accountancy career took flight in 1991 at a renowned accounting firm in Redditch. Throughout his tenure, he diligently pursued his professional development, earning the esteemed qualification of a fully Chartered Certified Accountant. His commitment and expertise propelled him to the role of Accounts Manager, where he proudly represented a substantial portfolio of clients.
Over the years, Daryl has amassed a wealth of knowledge and proficiency in providing comprehensive guidance to a diverse range of entities, including sole traders, partnerships, LLPs, and limited companies. He also possesses considerable expertise in supporting businesses during their transition from one entity type to another. His aptitude extends to personal and corporate tax matters, and he understands that each client's circumstances warrant a bespoke approach considering the ever-evolving taxation landscapes. Moreover, Daryl has successfully advised clients on business sales and acquisitions, and he boasts extensive experience in areas such as Capital Gains Tax and VAT.

Paul Rudge
Senior Consultant Accountant
Paul embarked on his successful accountancy career after graduating in accounting and financial analysis from Warwick University in 1983. He began his professional journey by training at the esteemed Deloitte Haskins and Sells in Birmingham, where he earned his qualification as a Chartered Accountant in 1987.
In pursuit of a more personalized approach to client service, Paul made a pivotal move in 1989, joining a small family firm of accountants located in Studley, Warwickshire. His dedication and expertise were swiftly recognized, leading to his partnership in 1989. Since 1998, Paul has been a sole practitioner, handling a diverse range of clients' tax and accounting challenges.
In August 2022, Paul's career took an exciting turn when he merged his practice with Davies Archytas Accountants. While his current role is part-time, Paul's responsibilities include overseeing the former Rudge & Co. clients, managing the Payroll Department, and serving as a General Practitioner. His years of industry expertise are invaluable as he assists clients by explaining available options in simple, accessible language. At Davies Archytas, Paul's commitment to providing excellent service remains unwavering. His role allows him to leverage his extensive experience to solve the tax and accounting challenges of various clients, including those with personal tax requirements, self-employment ventures, and limited companies.
In his spare time, Paul finds immense joy in spending quality time with his family. Despite the demands of his professional responsibilities, he recognises the importance of having strong connections with his loved ones.

Louise Heal
Accounts Senior and Payroll Accountant
Louise’s journey into Accountancy began in 2003 when she started studying with the Association of Accounting Technicians. She passed her final AAT exams in Accountancy and Payroll Administration in 2006. Louise joined a local accountancy practise in November 2006 and learned many new skills working in the field. She enjoyed the variety of work, from producing sole trader accounts and personal tax returns, monthly payroll, and CIS returns to helping with Limited company accounts. In 2014, she took the step out into industry and became a Finance Manager for an Interior fit-out company managing all aspects of finance, payroll and CIS. In 2019, she moved into the food supply chain industry, managing D2C customer accounts, credit control and payroll for an international company.
In 2022, Louise decided it was time to return to practise, and fate agreed when the opportunity to join Davies Archytas arose. Having previously known and worked with Daryl Davies and Paul Rudge, she decided this was a great opportunity.
Louise gained valuable knowledge and experience working in industry, which now benefits her with assisting clients in their day-to-day business accounting fees.
Louise is very family-oriented and enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends. She has a love for motor racing and music of all types.

Elizabeth Messenger
Management Accounts Assistant / VAT Advisor
In 1997, Elizabeth embarked on her bookkeeping journey, initially working part-time alongside her job in the travel industry to support her family business. This dual role continued until 2019 when she took a leap of faith, leaving her travel industry job to establish herself as a self-employed bookkeeper. Since then, Elizabeth has been dedicated to providing top-notch bookkeeping services to small businesses, a path she still treads today.
Elizabeth’s connection with Daryl goes way back, and in 2022, she had the privilege of joining the esteemed team at Davies Archytas Accountants, taking on the role of Accounts Assistant/VAT Advisor. Here, she is tasked with assisting clients in managing their bookkeeping and navigating the complexities of VAT returns. Additionally, she has the pleasure of guiding clients in utilizing the powerful Kashflow Accounting software to streamline their business operations. What truly fuels her passion in this role is the invaluable client interaction and the fulfilment she derives from supporting them in their bookkeeping endeavours.
Beyond the confines of her professional life, Elizabeth finds immense joy in attending to her personal connections and indulging in activities that enhance her life outside of work. Her cherished moments are often spent with family and friends, forging indelible memories and strengthening her connections.

Joanne Peters
Personal Tax Manager
After completing college, Joanne embarked on her professional journey at HMRC before transitioning into the accountancy field. Over the years, she has gained diverse experience, spending 16 years at a prominent 'Big 6' firm, primarily focusing on personal tax matters.
For the past decade, Joanne has been working in the Bromsgrove and Redditch areas, where she had the pleasure of meeting Daryl at a previous firm. Joining Davies Archytas a little over a year after Daryl founded the firm, she has been fortunate to witness remarkable growth in their client base.
Working in personal tax is Joanne’s passion, and she thoroughly enjoys the daily challenges it presents. Her experience spans a wide range of personal tax and self-assessment aspects, including their interaction with various other taxes. She has had the opportunity to assist individuals ranging from sole traders to high-net-worth individuals, catering to everyone in between.
Beyond Joanne’s professional life, she is a family person, blessed with two grown-up children, a loving husband, and a furry companion, their dog. She finds great joy in attending music concerts and theatre performances during her leisure time. Additionally, she actively contributes to an organisation that provides care packages for young adults transitioning out of the UK care system. Moreover, she has proudly volunteered with her local districts of the Scout Association for over 15 years.

Amanda Davies
Personal Tax Manager
In 1986, Amanda joined HMRC in the Collector of Taxes. She moved to the Inspector of Taxes 8 years later when she realised that she wanted to help “Taxpayers”. Amanda’s time with HMRC still helps with her understanding of how HMRC work which also helps her advise clients. After 3 years in the Inspector of Taxes, and still feeling that she was on the wrong side of the fence, she left to join Moores Rowland, who later merged with BDO.
Since 1987, Amanda has been working in practise, progressing to Personal Tax Manager. After many years, she has become experienced in most aspects of Personal Tax. She has a wealth of knowledge including international double taxation, residency and domicile. She also possesses a deep knowledge of rental and Capital Gains Tax. She also enjoys new challenges, which comes in handy when it comes to the changing world of Personal Tax.
Amanda joined Davies Archytas in January 2023 after moving to Worcestershire from Kent. She is continuing to expand her knowledge and getting to know her clients so that she can tailer her service to their personal needs.
When she is not working, Amanda enjoys walking her dog and gardening. In particular, she enjoys growing her own fruit and vegetables. She also enjoys sewing and spending time with her grown-up children.

Andrew Smith
Accounts Manager
After leaving Sixth Form College, Andrew worked as an office administrator for a local family business, whilst also attending a local night-school studying for his accounting technician qualification. Halfway through this qualification, he started work as a trainee accountant at an independent firm of accountants in Worcester in November 2004. During this time he progressed to an accounts senior role, mainly looking after small businesses and obtaining both his AAT and ACCA part qualified qualifications.
Having been previously looking after small businesses, in January 2015 Andrew joined a larger firm of accountants in the Black Country, looking to experience working more with larger companies and a more diverse portfolio of clients. During his time there, he managed a small portfolio of clients as well as working on several audits of considerable size whilst completing his ACCA qualification and membership.
In August 2022 Andrew started working at Davies Archytas Accountants Limited as an Accounts Manager, looking for a new challenge working with a smaller and more hands-on accountancy practise where you really get to know your clients and their needs.
Andrew is an avid football and cricket fan, having grown up playing both sports for school and local teams. He also enjoys spending his free time with friends and family when he gets the chance.

Charlotte Ebbon
Accounts Manager
Charlotte’s accountancy career and professional relationship with Daryl began in 2000, when she secured a position at a local practice. During this time, she pursued her studies with the Association of Accounting Technicians. Her diligent efforts culminated in passing her final AAT exams in 2004, solidifying her foundational knowledge in the field. Charlotte worked at the practice in Redditch until 2009, when she joined a practice in Droitwich in an Accounts Senior position.
In 2007, Charlotte expanded her professional scope by dividing her time between practice work and providing bookkeeping services to clients of varying sizes across diverse industries. Recognizing the need for a more flexible schedule to accommodate her family life, she made the decision in 2011 to transition to a self-employed bookkeeper, allowing her greater control over her time and commitments. During her tenure as a self-employed bookkeeper, she maintained strong professional relationships with managers and partners from her previous accountancy firms. Providing bookkeeping services to select clients associated with these firms resulted in continued collaboration. This collaboration then progressed to Charlotte joining Daryl at Davies Archytas Accountants when the practice opened in 2018. Her expertise and attention to detail contribute to the smooth operations of the firm.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Charlotte finds fulfilment in spending quality time with her loved ones. Furthermore, she actively contributes to her community by volunteering at events for local charities.

Jade Turton
Accounts Manager
Jade began her accountancy career back in 2000, starting out as a trainee accountant whilst studying with the Association of Accounting Technicians, gaining her AAT qualification in 2003.
Jade spent 10 years at a practise in Redditch. During her time there she qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant, progressing to a Senior Accountant role. She moved on to a larger practise in Halesowen in 2013 as a Senior Accountant and Auditor, gaining more experience of larger company accounts preparation and audit. In her role there, she spent much of her time working on site at client’s premises and advising clients on accounting, bookkeeping, VAT and taxation matters.
Jade has spent the last 6 years as a self-employed accountant, whilst also being a mum to her two small children, giving her the flexibility to balance her family and work life. She joined Davies Archytas Accountants in February 2022. She has known and worked with Daryl for over 20 years, and she is looking forward to continuing her career at Davies Archytas. Jade is professional, yet approachable, and she provides accurate and beneficial advice to clients.
Outside of work life, Jade enjoys spending time with her partner and two children, as well as going on holidays and socialising with her friends and family.

Amy Davies
Accounts Assistant
After completing her studies at Kingsley College, Amy embarked on a career in caring for the elderly in 2017. Devoting a year to providing compassionate support to the elderly within the local community, she developed a deep sense of empathy and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in people's lives.
Motivated to further her education, Amy is currently pursuing studies in AAT to expand her knowledge and skills in the field. This commitment to personal and professional growth underscores her dedication to continuous learning and development.
When her father established his own Accountancy Practice in Redditch, it presented a natural career opportunity for her. In December 2018, she eagerly joined the practice as a Receptionist and Admin Assistant. Over time, she has grown within the firm, now assisting with the preparation of client accounts. This progression reflects her dedication, adaptability, and eagerness to take on new challenges.
Alongside her professional pursuits, Amy possesses a deeply caring nature that extends to her personal life. She finds joy in spending quality time with her family and friends, cherishing the bonds they share. Music holds a special place in her heart, and she has a passion for various sporting activities, engaging in them to stay active and embrace a healthy lifestyle.

Kyle Cudal
Accounts Assistant
As a motivated accounting assistant currently pursuing his Level 3 AAT qualification, Kyle is excited to provide comprehensive financial support to businesses of all sizes. Through this program, he has gained a solid foundation in accounting principles and practice - including financial statements, budgeting and taxation. Although he is new to the field, Kyle has already gained experience in managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with financial statement preparation.
Kyle’s attention to detail and organisational skills enables him to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently, whilst his proficiency in accounting software such as Kashflow, Sage, and Xero ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records. He is a proactive communicator, and he can collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
When Kyle is not crunching numbers, you can find him playing basketball, spending time with his family, or boxing. These hobbies have taught him the importance of teamwork, discipline and staying focused under pressure.

Bethany Davies
Bookkeeping/Admin Assistant
Bethany is an individual driven by her passion for art and drawing. From her time at sixth form to her present-day pursuits, she has developed a deep love for the world of creative expression. Bethany’s talent shines through her ability to skilfully create portraits using coloured pencils and a variety of artistic media.
Beth’s professional journey has been diverse. Starting as a supervisor at Greggs where she gained valuable experience in managing teams and overseeing operations. After six years of dedication and hard work, she transitioned to her role as an administrator at Davies Archytas Accountants. Beth is now also pursuing further education by studying AAT, demonstrating her commitment to personal and career development. This educational pursuit not only reflects her dedication but also positions her to continually enhance her contributions to the firm and its clients. She sees it as a privilege to work alongside her dad, who is the Managing Director of Davies Archytas Accountants, and she is committed to contributing to the success and growth of the firm.
Outside of her professional endeavours, Bethany shares a special connection with her son. Being a devoted parent and prioritising quality time with family and friends stand at the forefront of her values. In her moments of leisure, Bethany finds solace and pleasure in the pages of books, immersing herself in captivating narratives that transport her to different worlds. Additionally, she enjoys the activity of taking leisurely strolls with her beloved canine companions.

Sharon Davies
Receptionist / Admin Manager
Sharon's diverse experiences have shaped her into the person she is today. After studying English Literature and Art in Sixth Form, she pursued her passion for creativity by completing an art diploma in college. At the age of 25, she explored interior design, combining her artistic talents with practical applications.
Alongside her professional pursuits, Sharon finds joy in being a loving parent and is proud of her grown-up children's accomplishments. She also cherishes her role as a grandparent and embraces the precious moments spent with her grandson.
For 16 years, Sharon dedicated her time and care to working at the hospital in Redditch, where she had the privilege of looking after people and making a positive impact in their lives. These skills seamlessly transitioned into her current role as an administrator and receptionist at Davies Archytas Accountants. Sharon's ability to connect with others, listen attentively, and convey information clearly has proven invaluable in her interactions with colleagues and clients. She effortlessly builds rapport and fosters meaningful relationships, making her an asset in the dynamic and people-centric environment of the firm. Not only is it a rewarding position in a dynamic environment, but it also holds a special connection for her as she is the wife of the Managing Director of the firm, with whom she has shared a loving partnership for 33 years.
When not working or exploring her creativity, Sharon finds joy in cooking home-cooked meals, socialising with friends and spending time with her family.

Christine Roach
Companies House Consultant
Christine has been a dedicated professional in the accountancy field for over 30 years, specializing in Secretarial and Administration roles. Throughout her career, she has primarily focused on serving limited companies, meticulously ensuring their compliance with statutory requirements at Companies House, while staying well-informed about the ever-evolving Company Law and promptly implementing necessary changes.
Beyond her professional life, Christine cherishes moments spent with her beloved family and friends. Gardening is one of her passions, allowing her to find tranquillity and joy in nature's beauty. Moreover, she actively participates in a local Rock Choir, where she is able to express her love for music and contribute to a vibrant community.
Overall, Christine takes great pride in her extensive experience and expertise in her role, as well as her well-rounded life outside of work, which is filled with meaningful activities that bring her fulfilment.
